As promised when the Monon trailhead issue was in dialogue last year, construction documents for the project are being made available for viewing and comment. This posting is to allow an additional opportunity for residents to identify concerns with the design, and offer constructive suggestions to improve the project.
Included with this posting are two files; one with a full set of construction documents, the other with select sheets limited to trailhead information only (the full set of documents is a fairly large file and will take longer to load than trailhead-only drawings).
Please email suggestions to both my attention at and Curt Cooley, Director - Parks & Recreation, at .
UPDATE: Public Comment Session was held Wednesday February 27th at 7PM at the Village Farms Clubhouse. Curt Cooley, Bob Horkay, and Kurt Wanninger were available at the (Village Farms) clubhouse to listen and discuss comments about the project. About 20 local residents attended. It is not necessary to have attended the (Village Farms) clubhouse meeting to have your concerns heard and considered; all emailed comments will be read and acknowledged as well. Several suggestions were noted including design suggestions to keep the area looking like a horse farm with black 4 board fence and bronze statues like the one pictured here: CLICK HERE
