Friends and Neighbors, we have important news for you regarding the Monon Trailhead parking lot construction! Despite our efforts, The Westfield Town Council is proceeding in its plans to add a Monon Trailhead and parking lot on Greyhound Pass. Please go to the following web-site to sign an on-line petition in opposition to this plan: www.Petitiononline.com/trail07

This petition in no way opposes the actual Monon Trail, but simply challenges the need for a parking lot to be placed at the intersection of Greyhound Pass and the Monon (at Corral Court). If you feel strongly about this issue, please forward this on-line petition to ANY Westfield resident! We don't believe that any Westfield homeowner would want a parking lot in their neighborhood, nor the increased traffic that would accompany it. Additionally, this is inconsistent with the Westfield-Washington Township Comprehensive Plan, adopted February 12, 2007. We've been told that there will be future trailheads north of us, and we'd like to remind everyone of the trailhead on Rohrer Road and 146th - just a five minute drive from Greyhound Pass. Please help us send a strong message to Andy Cook, Bob Horkay, and the Town Council that we oppose efforts to put this trailhead on Greyhound Pass.
